Geny Heywood is a French-born immigrant who left home at the age of twenty-one to make a new life for herself in North America after World War II. Now at the age of ninety-two, she is a mother of four, grandmother of twelve, and great-grandmother of seven. She has spent her lifetime working mostly with children. As a street teacher from her extensive experience, she feels very strongly that all children are geniuses, assuring anyone she meets that every child is an artist and intellectual just waiting to be discovered. She strongly encourages parents and grandparents to read to their little ones right from the day they are born.
