About the Author

JAMIE D. ROBERTS (she/her) is a licensed marriage and family therapist and the founder of Equilibrium Counseling Services, a teen mental health center. Praise For…

"Having worked with Ms. Roberts for more than 12 years, I know her to be an excellent and inspired clinician. She is now applying those same skills in the development of this thoughtful book, which should be very helpful to her patients and others." —Derek Ott, MD, Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, UCLA

"Jamie Roberts hits the mark by skillfully bringing mindful practices to anxiety management. Her message is refreshing as she does not promise a quick fix but instead emphasizes the young person's capacity to build a healthy and positive habit of self-regulation through noticing and responding to their anxiety using any number of the book's easy-to-understand, highly effective strategies. Mindfulness for Teen Anxiety teaches teens to master their own wellness, a true gift that fosters authentic, embodied confidence." —Suzanne Mata, PsyD, clinical psychologist, trauma specialist, and certified meditation and mindfulness teacher
