Description
The poems I wrote for WITCHES, WOLVES AND WATER SPIRITS are really lyrics to my songs and the paintings are inspired by Chagall. The songs are sung by my characters from my six plays I wrote about the magical city of Novgorod. The names of the plays are VASILISA CALLS, SAVA'S RING, DVINA'S STONE, KOLJADA, KOSCHEI'S DREAM, and RETURN TO BUYAN. I hope some day I publish these plays or see them performed. There is nothing wrong with dreaming and trying to make it become real. Actually, it has been fun discovering how far I can stretch my imagination. Eight years ago I sat down at a piano and started composing songs just to see what I could create. I have been at this project for six years and have 6 musicals, 40 songs, 38 song paintings, six 6'x3' banners, numerous sculptures both large and small, and 11 puppets. My art has been in five shows and one of my songs, NOVGOROD, was sung at a concert at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y. I am having a ball discovering things I never knew I could do.
