St. Alphonsus provides us with great instruction and inspiration on the worship of our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament. In "Visits to the Blessed Sacrament," he offers 31 visits consisting of prayers, a Scripture reading, and a meditation to spur our own meditation and prayer to the Lord the perfect tool to help facilitate a fruitful visit to our Lord in the Eucharist.
Each visit to our Lord is followed by a Visit to Our Lady, short meditations and prayers confidently beseeching her powerful help, even for the worst of sinners. At each visit, one makes an Act of Spiritual Communion, which enflames one's heart with greater love of God and desire to be unified with Him. This book also includes prayers that may be prayed in Adoration, and the formula for Benediction following Adoration.
A perennial favorite among Catholic prayer books, "Visits to the Blessed Sacrament" remains a famous and beloved aid to growth in love and devotion to that essential part of our Faith our God Himself, dwelling among us in the Eucharist.
